F-Secure Policy Manager Reporting Option 5.50 Hotfix 1
(29 MB)
Feb 1, 2008

F-Secure Policy Manager for Windows 7.20

  • All supported Windows platforms

F-Secure Policy Manager Reporting Option 5.50 cannot read the commdir signed by F-Secure Policy Manager 7.20 without updating Java Runtime Environment to version 1.5.

This hotfix just upgrades Java Runtime Environment used by FSPMRO to 1.5 version.

This can be done by applying the FSPMRO 5.50 Hotfix 1 on top of existing FSPMRO installation.

To install the hotfix, do as follows:

  1. Close any open F-Secure Policy Manager Reporting Option windows.
  2. Rename the old JRE directory "\Policy Manager Reporting Option\runtime" folder to something else (e.g. runtime-1.4).
  3. Unzip this hotfix to "\Policy Manager Reporting Option\" folder with create folders option. It will automatically create a new runtime directory there.
  4. Start "F-Secure Policy Manager Reporting Option" and verify that you can create new reports.

F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange 6.62 hotfix 1
(134 KB)
Mar 2, 2007
F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange 6.62
  • All supported Windows platforms
  • This hotfix solves two problems with F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange 6.62:

    1. F-Secure Policy Manager Server 6 is not getting all updates when running on the same host with F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange 6.62. Due to a shortcoming in the Automatic Update Agent configuration file, Spyware definition and Virus News updates were not propagated to the Policy Manager.

    2. F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange 6.62 attempts to download updates from F-Secure Policy Manager Server 6 if installed on the same host. If the 'Management Server Address' in the F-Secure Management Agent settings has been set to 'Final' in the Policy Manager for the locally imported host, it will cause the Automatic Update Agent to download updates from the local Policy Manager Server instead of the F-Secure download server.

F-Secure recommends to apply this hotfix. The hotfix installation does not require a reboot. Release notes containing installation instructions for the hotfix can be found here.

F-Secure Policy Manager 6.00 Automatic Update Agent HotFix 2
    ( KB)
    Jul 25, 2005
F-Secure Policy Manager 6.00 This HotFix fixes two problems:

    1) Virus defitions update republishing problems on very slow machines.

There are two symptoms of this problem:

1.1. Policy Manager Server machine runs out of hard disk space.

1.2. Automatic Update Agent log is full of "Cannot republish update" errors.

Problem was caused by too short timeout when republishing the databases to F-Secure Automatic Update Server and this hotfix increases that timeout to much longer.

    2) Virus definition downloads are halted occasionally until you reboot the machine or click "Check Now" from the local AUA GUI.

To install the hotfix you need to do following: 1. Stop "F-Secure Automatic Update" service

    2. Stop "fsbwsys" service

    3. Replace 2 files in following directory with the ones included in this hotfix package:

    \BackWeb\<7681197>\program

    4. Start "fsbwsys" service

    5. Start "F-Secure Automatic Update" service

To verify that HotFix 2 is installed, open fsbwce.log and and check that fsbwce.dll version is 7.00.21. This is shown in fsbwce.log like: *** F-Secure Automatic Update Agent started (fsbwce.dll 7.00.21)

    Hotfix 2
    (41 KB)
    Nov 25, 2004
F-Secure Policy Manager 5.50 - 5.61 In some rare cases a problematic MIB file in F-Secure Policy Manager has caused the AVCS security level settings to disappear from the base policy. The effect is that all communication except the communication to the Policy Manager Server or CommDir is denied. You can fix the problem by replacing the problematic MIB file manually, as described below
    1. Close the PMC.
    2. Unzip the hotfix to c:\program files\f-secure\administrator\mib (overwrite the existing MIB).
    3. Start the PMC and distribute policies.
This update is recommended to all F-Secure Policy Manager 5.50-5.61 installations which are used to manage F-Secure Anti-Virus client security installations with Internet Shield installed.

    (38 KB)
    Oct 17, 2003
Applies to installation where all these components are installed:
  • F-Secure Policy Manager 5.50
  • Automatic Update Agent
  • F-Secure Content Scanner Server 6.20
  • If you installed F-Secure Policy Manager 5.50 with Automatic Update Agent to computer where you have Content Scanner Server 6.20 already installed, you might see following error message:

    -------------------------------
F-Secure Manager: FSM32.EXE - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point _FSLD_RegisterLanguageHandleCustom@16 could not be located in the dynamic link library FSLD32.DLL -------------------------------

This means that FSLD32.DLL in the system is older than Automatic Update Agent needs.

You may download this ZIP file, unpack it and replace existing FSLD32.DLL in the system.

    Please do following:
    1) Net stop fsma
    2) Rename old FSLD32.DLL to FSLD32.OLD
    3) Copy this new FSLD32.DLL to same folder
    4) Net start FSMA (or reboot the server)

By doing this you shouldn't see the error message anymore.
