To install Hotfixes with Policy Manager:
Step 1. Download the Hotfix from its location:
- For F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations v5.42-5.44 & FSAVCS5.54-6.01:
ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/hotfix/fsavcs/fsavwk617-02-signed.fsfix
- For F-Secure Anti-Virus for Servers v5.42-5.52:
ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/hotfix/fsav-server/fsavsr552-02-signed.fsfix
Step 2. Import the Hotfixes to Policy Manager:
- On the F-Secure Policy Manager Console, click ‘Tools’ and then ’Installation Packages...’. The Installation Packages dialog appears.

- Click ‘Import’ for each Hotfix. The Hotfixes appear on the ‘Packages’ list.


- Click ’Close’ to close the Installation Packages dialog.
Step 3. Install the Hotfix for workstations:
- On ‘Policy Domains’ select the domain where the Hotfix will be installed.
- On ‘Policy-based Installations’ select the Hotfix version to install from the drop-down menu.
Note! For workstations, no servers can belong to the domain to which you are distributing the Hotfix.

Step 4. Install the Hotfix for servers:
- On ‘Policy Domains’ select the domain where the Hotfix will be installed.
- On ‘Policy-based Installations’ select the Hotfix version to install form the drop-down menu.
Note! For servers, no workstations can belong to the domain to which you are distributing the Hotfix.

Step 5. Distribute the policies:
- On Policy Manger click ‘File’ and then ‘Distribute Policies’.
- The Policy Distribution dialog informs you that the policies have been distributed successfully. Click ‘OK’ to close the dialog.
Step 6. (Optional) Verify that the computers have been upgraded successfully:
- On Policy Manager click ‘View’ and then ‘Anti-Virus mode’. The view switches to ‘Anti-Virus mode’. You should see the distributed policies on the AV Hotfixes list.
Note! The time interval for successful installation reporting depends on your configurations. The default reporting interval is 10 minutes.
