Q14. I have problems accessing my Fritz!Box after installing F-Secure Internet Security. What can I do?

If Fritz software cannot detect the Fritz! Box, the application IGDCTRL.EXE from the Fritz installation folder has to be added to the F-Secure Application Control:

1. Open F-Secure Internet Security.
2. Click on the Internet Shield tab.
3. Click on ‘Advanced…’ to open the advanced dialog.
4. On the left menu, select Application Control.
5. On the Connecting tab, click ‘Add’ to open the Application Properties dialog.
6. Click Browse and select the file C:\programme\Fritz!\igdctrl.exe\.
7. In Client (Outbound), tick the settings ‘Application only’ and ‘Allow’.
8. In Server (Inbound), tick the settings ‘Application only’ and ‘Allow’.
9. Click ‘OK’ to apply the settings.
10. Click ‘OK’ to close the windows.
11. For the settings to take effect you must restart you computer.

You should now be able to access the Fritz!Box.
