Q15. Why does my Ken! server stop working after installing F-Secure Internet Security?

We cannot guarantee that these proxy server applications will work properly with F-Secure Internet Security. However, applying the following settings during installation of F-Secure Internet Security 2007 could make it possible to use Ken and Internet Security together. (Note! You will need to know your proxy configuration to do this.)

To apply the settings:

1. Right-click the F-Secure icon in the Windows system tray after the installation has started and before you are asked to enter the subscription number. The Advanced dialog appears.
2. Set Client Standard Protocol to ‘HTTP-Protocol’.
3. Enter your proxy configuration.
4. Click OK.
5. Complete the installation wizard.

If there are further problems please uninstall the Parental Control Component:

1. Open command prompt from Windows Start menu -> Run.
2. Type 'CMD' and press Enter.
3. Type ‘CD \’ and press Enter.
4. Type ‘CD program files’ and press Enter.
5. Type ‘CD f-secure Internet Security’ and press Enter.
6. Type ‘fsuninst /uninstregkey:"F-Secure Web Filter"’ and press Enter. The uninstallation wizard starts.
7. Complete the wizard and restart the computer after the uninstallation is finished. The Parental Control component should be removed from F-Secure Internet Security.
