E-mail / Spam Issues
Q3. How do I allow or deny e-mail coming from a certain address?
To allow e-mails from a certain address, do the following:
- Open the F-Secure Internet Security 2008 main user interface:
- Click Start > All Programs > F-Secure Internet Security 2008 > Open the F-Secure Internet Security 2008, or
- Double-click the F-Secure icon in your Windows system tray on the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Select the Spam Control tab and click Advanced to open the advanced settings.
- Click Allowed Senders on the left menu to add senders from whom you allow e-mail messages.
- Click the Add button to add a new e-mail address to the list.
- Enter the address to the address line. If you want to create a short description for the new address, you can enter it in the description field. Click OK to enter the new address to the list.
Note: If you want to allow mails from certain domains add ‘*’ as the wildcard indicating any address in a certain domain, then add the rest of the address after the @ sign.
Example: * @f-secure.com on the allow list would allow all mails coming from the F-Secure domain.
If you want to edit a previously created entry, select an address from the list and click the Edit button to edit it. Click Remove to remove the selected address.
Tip: You can also add a new address to the list through the Microsoft Outlook Spam Control menu button or by right-clicking the system tray icon.
To deny e-mails from a certain address, do the following:
