Q8. Why is my FTP software not functioning after I installed F-Secure Internet Security?

You have to add a new firewall rule (outbound) in your security level.

To add a new rule for the FTP software, do as follows:

1. Open the F-Secure Internet Security main user interface, and click the ‘Advanced’ link to open the advanced settings.
2. In the ‘Advanced’ pane, click 'Internet Shield' to expand the menu, and then select 'Firewall'.
3. In the Firewall pane's 'Rules' tab, click 'Add' to run the Firewall Rule Wizard.
4. Run through the wizard and, in Step 3 in the wizard, select the predefined FTP / File Transfer Protocol, active mode as the service.
5. Run through the rest of the wizard.
