Q: How can I update my Anti-Virus?
A: You have to select 'Update Anti-Virus' from the Update menu or press 'Update Anti-Virus' on Anti-Virus information view to check the update server for new updates. If there is a new virus signature database, Anti-Virus retrieves and installs it automatically. You can check the date of the latest update from the Anti-Virus information view.

Remember that you have to be connected to the internet with your Communicator in order to update your Anti-Virus. When choosing 'Update Anti-Virus' the default internet access will be opened automatically. If you have not configured any default internet access- settings in your Communicator you'll have to first open internet connection manually before the update process.

Please also make sure that the update server address is configured correctly (case sensitive letters) in the general settings view of Anti-Virus.

There is also an alternative manual update method for updating Anti-Virus for Nokia 9200- series Communicator. Q: Why do I need to update my Anti-Virus?
A: Anti-Virus requires an up-to-date virus signature database to function properly. The virus signature database contains information about all viruses that can be detected. When a new virus or other malicious software is spreading, a new virus signature database update can be retrieved from the update server.

It is of the utmost importance that you keep your virus signature database up-to-date. Updated Anti-Virus finds all the latest viruses and thus ensures that you have the best protection against viruses that the application can provide.

Q: How can I update my Anti-Virus manually if automatic updates do not work?
A: Please follow these instructions in order to manually update your Anti-Virus for Nokia 9200 series Communicator.

1. Go to address http://www.F-Secure.com/avcomm/fsavepoc.dat with your PC or Communicator web browser.

2. Save the file as 'fsavepoc.dat' to a temporary location on your local harddrive or your Communicator.

3. Terminate Anti-Virus on your Communicator.

4. Copy the downloaded 'fsavepoc.dat' to your Communicator in 'Communicator\System\Apps\Anti-Virus\Update\' - folder.

5. Launch Anti-Virus and the new update database is taken into use during program startup.

Remember that Anti-Virus 'Last Update' and 'Update Service' datestamps do not change because of the manual update method, but your databases are however up-to-date.
